MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- An elevated chance of rain is expected through the beginning of the work week as a deep surge of moisture works it's way into our area. Not expecting a wash-out, but a higher chance at seeing your usual Summer thunderstorms this week.

Monday through Thursday: An upper level trough of low pressure will stay situated over the east coast of the country, keeping our local area south of a slow moving front. Because we'll be south of the front in an area of warm temperatures and high moisture content, rain chances will be elevated through most of the work week. Expect lows in the lower to mid 70s and highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s.

Rain coverage will be around 50-60% each day with partly sunny to mostly cloudy skies anticipated. Rain coverage will also be somewhat elevated for morning periods, too.

Beach and Boating forecast information and your Monday Tide Times are below:

Friday through Sunday: As the front leaves the area, the southeast will still be in a somewhat unsettled air mass (typical of late July). Rain coverage will be around 40-50% each afternoon with lows in the mid 70s and highs in the lower 90s.

You can catch the forecast on WTXL Sunrise starting at 5:00, as well as WTXL Midday at Noon. Chief Meteorologist Casanova Nurse has your forecast at 5:00, 5:30, 6:00, and 11:00 this evening.
