TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - Freeze warnings in place through 8am for most of the area. Expect temps to fall below 32° for up to 3 hours, so bring in your sensitive plants if you want them to survive the frosty conditions. Once the sun comes out, temps will quickly rise back into the upper 60s and near that 70° by later this afternoon. High pressure sticking around allowing for quite chilly mornings and relatively pleasant afternoons under mostly clear skies. Expect this trend to last into Tuesday as well in which temps will be in the upper 30s to start your Election Day and we'll be back in the mid 70s as the high scoots off the coast and winds turn from the Apalachee Bay. We actually get into the low 80s by midweek with a couple stray showers possible ahead of our next cold front. Scattered showers are expected on Thursday with temps still above average in the low 80s. As the front passes, fall quickly returns with temps tumbling back to the low 70s for highs and lows plummeting into the low 40s and upper 30s for next weekend.
