TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - The work week starts off on a relatively warm note, similar to how the weekend ended. Conditions this morning contain a touch of coolness as the high pressure system slowly moves off the east coast allowing for some return flow to infiltrate from the Gulf. Temps start off in the upper 50s and low 60s. By the afternoon mid 80s come back into the picture. A tropical wave will develop towards southeast Florida but there will be minimal impacts locally except for an increase in cloud cover and the possibility of a rogue shower or two especially out east midweek through the end of the work week. This early season surge in tropical moisture will move up the east coast of the state and turn offshore. As for your local forecast, temps will be in the low to mid 60s through Mom's Day with highs staying in the mid 80s through the work week and by the time that tropical moisture dissipates later this week, temps will creep closer to 90° for the holiday weekend.
