This weeks seven day forecast has become very interesting with us starting off mild on Monday with temps nearing 70, to the possibility of a wintry mix Wednesday morning. The chance for showers today is around 30%. Tuesday will be mostly cloudy to overcast. Rain showers are expected throughout the day and picking up in the evening. Highs in the afternoon will only reach 48. Tuesday night into Wednesday morning is when things could get a bit tricky. Lows will dip down close to the freezing mark. The chance for freezing rain is on the high side with a slight chance for sleet. I think the wintry mix could continue in the morning hours on Wednesday, making roads slick and icy at times. In the afternoon, highs will rise to the low 40’s changing the precipitation back to rain. Depending on the timing of the stalled front and how long it takes to move through, will make a difference if we see another phase change of liquid from rain to freezing rain or sleet. Lows are expected to drop into the lower 20’s by Thursday morning. Skies turn partly cloudy on Thursday, and afternoon highs will reach 52. Friday will be mostly sunny with a high of 62. Rain chances return on Saturday and Sunday with partly to mostly cloudy skies and high temps in the upper 60’s to low 70’s.
Happy Monday!
