TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - A flash flood watch is in effect for parts of the region through tonight. Suwannee, Hamilton and Columbia counties have all gotten in on heavy rainfall over the last couple of days, and radar indications show at its core, over a foot of rain has fallen for some areas out east. Because of that, these three counties have a flash flood watch in effect. A couple more inches of rain are possible these next couple of days as a stalled out frontal system blankets itself over the region. Ample moisture well help moderate our temps keeping highs only in the low 90s these next couple of days. Lows will still be balmy in the low to mid 70s. By Wednesday, a weak ridge of high pressure sets up and that will aid in drying the region and providing more sunshine. The drier conditions will allow temps to bump back up into the mid 90s. A vigorous typical autumn cold front will dig into the Deep South by Friday which will cause for widespread rain chances for Friday and Saturday with a drier trend in store for the end of next weekend.
