MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
A more-settled pattern awaits this week, as successive areas of high pressure will limit widespread active weather features, and promote periods of dry, mostly clear conditions with a bit of a chill on select mornings. The current area of high pressure is centered over the Gulf, and will be drifting south through the next 24 hours. It's close enough to allow lows to drop into the 50s overnight, and push highs back toward 80° as sunshine continues. A cold front will approach the region Tuesday, but without much moisture, clouds will be minimal and rain will be absent. The high pressure system behind it will influence the pattern through midweek, but will then promote a brief moisture increase set-up which will lead to scattered rain coverage for Thursday with the next cold front. A third front late Friday will push temperatures back to chilly levels for the weekend mornings, while the afternoons will have abundant sunlight.
