MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Areas of clouds blending in with today’s sunshine may have actually helped to keep daytime showers and thunderstorms out of the region, with only a limited chance for a pop-up shower between now and sunset. Overnight, clouds will partially break, leading to some clearer pockets. High pressure is trying to hang on to the region, and it should be strong enough Tuesday to further reduce the chance for scattered rain and thunder, so coverage will be less than 20% for the afternoon. It’ll be mild and muggy Tuesday morning with lows in the mid and upper 60s, and highs will likely reach or exceed 90° away from the coast. Wednesday and Thursday will see increase rain chances as the high weakens and a front collides with a pool of tropical moisture to the southeast.
