Most of the active thunderstorms have weakened and moved to the southeastern parts of the viewing region, where a tornado watch remains in effect until 9:00 p.m. at the latest. The majority of evening storms have avoided severe levels, but spots of heavy rain can't be ruled out across the middle and lower Suwannee River valley before a cold front sweeps through overnight, providing a drier and more-seasonable Tuesday for the area. Clearing will occur overnight, but pockets of leftover clouds will keep temperatures for lows around the low to mid 50s; some upper 40s are possible in interior South Georgia. Highs Tuesday rebound to near 70° with ample sunshine. The next storm system will reach the region by Thursday, bringing another round of showers and storms with it.
