MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
A pattern more reminiscent of summer is setting up, producing above-average temperatures and building moisture levels to add to the muggy feel. The moisture combined with daytime heating and the onshore flow have formed scattered showers and thunderstorms, which have been moving north. A few leftover showers are possible, mainly in the Suwannee/Withlacoochee river basins, through mid-evening. Any showers will end by midnight, and a clearing trend will be evident area-wide. Lows will fall to the low to mid 60s. Tuesday's highs will rebound to the mid 80s as clouds build and a few more showers and storms form by midday. Overall temperature trends will go up through the end of the week, supported by a strengthening ridge aloft over the northeastern Gulf. Some locations may break 90° by the end of the week, with only a spot shower or storm possible by then.
