MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
The effects of the weekend high-pressure heat spell are still being experienced, even though the center of the high has relocated to our northwest. We remain with limited shower and storm amounts, and temperatures have soared deep into the 90s again. A few cooling pockets of rain and thunder are possible, especially near the seabreeze boundary and in some locations near the tri-state. Otherwise, patchy cloud cover and widespread steamy conditions are forecast late tonight with lows only reaching the mid 70s. We'll get back into the mid and possibly upper 90s again, but with the upper high's positioning, it'll place several of our south-central Georgia counties closer to a corridor of unsettledness that may promote areas of organized, strong storms. Some of these may clip portions of the region by later tomorrow through early Wednesday, with a slight severe weather risk going along with any storm clusters.
