MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
A slow-moving front is positioned in middle Georgia, and set to meander over the southern half of the state through Tuesday evening. This will provide a means to produce occasional cloudiness and developing rain and storms, particularly during daylight hours. Showers and storms may originate along the front and move west or southwestward in the late morning through afternoon hours. Highest rain coverage will be in areas near Interstate 75, with decreasing coverage and intensity toward the Apalachicola River. Lows tonight will fall into the low 70s, and highs will range between 90° or so in eastern areas to the mid 90s west. A dry air source exists north of the boundary, and a northeast flow later this week will promote its influence in our region; temperatures won't be cooler during the day, but it may become noticeably less humid with a slight hint of cooling for morning lows.
The tropics remain in a more-active phase, with three separate areas of development in the Atlantic. There are no near-term concerns locally.
