Storm Team Monday evening forecast (03/25/2013)

Posted

A cooler, drier weather pattern is in place for much of this week due to a high pressure that is situating itself right over us. Tuesday, we cool down even more as the high pressure sets on in and morning lows will be in the mid 30s. Lows near the freezing mark, though unpleasant, are not uncommon.  The average last freeze in Tallahassee is March 19th.  Mostly sunny conditions persist and that will allow us to heat up, but still remain below average in the temperature department only reaching the mid 60s for highs once again.  Wednesday morning is the coldest morning in the forecast period as we will dip below the freezing mark.  So much for Spring weather, right? Highs Wednesday will make it into the mid 60s again.  Then our temperatures begin to moderate near the end of your work week.  Thursday we near 70 degrees in the afternoon and Friday we are in the low 70s.  For your weekend, expect the warming trend to continue as we make it back to near average with our high temperatures on Saturday and your Easter Sunday looks pleasant as well at this point in the mid 70s.  There is a slight chance of rain on Easter, though right now, showers look to remain north of Albany, Georgia.  On Monday, we warm even more into the upper 70s and the rain chances pick up to around 30% for our area.
