MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
We will remain mostly cloudy tonight through a good portion of Tuesday with passing showers and occasional thunderstorms nearly any time of day or night. A potent swirl of low pressure just to the west is keeping regional weather unsettled, with a huge source of moisture coming from the Gulf to easily form clouds and passing showers and rain. Rain activity may be heavy at times, but with the abundance of cloud cover, there won’t be a large opportunity for stronger storms. It will be damp and mild overnight with lows in the low and mid 70s, and lingering clouds and showers Tuesday should hold temperatures in the 80s to maybe near 90° for spots that squeeze out a little more sun. The low-pressure center moves to the west and should provide a day or two of slightly drier, warmer conditions around midweek, but rain chances won’t be eliminated. A small disturbance in the open Atlantic has some potential to become a tropical depression, but local impacts at this time are unlikely to occur.
