MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Ample moisture and a weak atmospheric set-up allowed clouds to cover the sky, and occasional showers and storms to develop this afternoon. Those areas of rain that have formed are moving mostly to the east and can produce lightning and locally heavy rain. Activity will diminish over land by midnight as clouds linger and temps fall into the mid to low 70s. Early-morning showers or storms are possible over offshore waters. Breaks of sun will warm readings back toward 90° before clouds and showers form once again Tuesday afternoon. There will be a slight decrease in the rain cycle after midweek, but by the weekend, an upper low from the north will blend in with high moisture levels, creating more rounds of showers and storms over the weekend.
