MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

Local shower and thunder chances will increase overnight, but most areas are likely to avoid the brunt of severe weather chances that exist west of the region.  Spots of heavy rain, lightning, and non-severe gusts are possible late tonight through the first half of Tuesday before clouds begin breaking later in the afternoon.  Rain chances will stretch into the afternoon for the Suwannee Valley.  With periods of rain and abundant moisture, overnight lows will only fall into the 60s, and highs will climb back into the 70s for Tuesday.  A push of cooler air will arrive Wednesday with areas of cloudiness.  The next rain chance comes our way Friday with a quick-moving system that may generate a chilly, rainy set-up that is forecast to move out during the early part of the weekend, leaving behind a cold snap that may create morning temps near freezing.
