MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Scattered pockets of showers and thunder will lift to the north into interior south Georgia this evening, while newly developed showers and storms will be possible near the coast through tonight. These spots of activity are not expected to become severe in most cases, but can cause some locally heavier downpours and rain accumulations. We'll transition into a slightly more stable weather situation as midweek approaches, with the growing presence of upper-level high pressure over the northern Gulf region suppressing thunderstorms and heavy rain a bit. However, tonight's lows will fall to the low to mid 70s with lingering clouds, moisture, and some showers. Highs tomorrow will rise into the lower 90s outside of rainy areas, with mid 90s possibly returning by Wednesday. A disturbance in the far eastern Atlantic may develop into the next tropical depression, but is forecast to remain harmlessly in the open ocean waters.
