MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Clouds will continue to increase and thicken overnight with ongoing breezes from the south. These features will keep overnight temperatures elevated, with lows only around 70° or the upper 60s. A warm, moist environment, plus a broad low-pressure disturbance to the northwest are helping to create an unstable environment which will favor the development of areas of rain and occasional thunderstorms. Rain may be the heaviest Tuesday in westernmost areas around the Apalachicola and Chattahoochee rivers, and a few possible severe thunderstorms with strong winds gusts, hail, and an isolated tornado are possible. The slow movement of the disturbance will force clouds, rain, and thunderstorms into the region again Wednesday with a slight chance for severe storms. Lingering showers are possible Thursday with a decrease in temperatures and a lesser threat for significant thunderstorms.
