MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- The taste of Fall has come and gone in a flash, though some lingering comfort will remain for at least the first half of the work week as dew points stay lower. The warming trend will continue as we progress through the week due to high pressure moving east and drawing in winds from the Atlantic Ocean. This will steadily raise dew points, temperatures, and also rain chances for the week ahead. No washout is expected, but the typical summertime afternoon/ evening storms will once again pop up.
Overnight lows into Tuesday morning will likely still be below seasonal norms (lower to mid 60s). Afternoon highs will likely rise back up to the mid and upper 80s as winds from the east continue to keep the warmth at bay. Plus, high pressure will still help to limit clouds from developing much Tuesday, so the abundant sunshine will help keep the region warm. Rain coverage will likely remain limited to eastern counties in the region along the I-75 corridor (20%).
Wednesday morning will likely be even warmer with lows in the upper 60s to lower 70s. Highs will likely range in the mid to upper 80s. Rain coverage (40%) will jump up as a nearby disturbance out west moves closer to the area. Cloud cover may keep highs lower than Tuesday by a degree or so. The warmth will likely continue into the end of the work week with upper 80s for highs possible and maybe the lower 90s by the weekend.
