MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
A corridor of rain and thunderstorms lurks just offshore this evening, and it won't take much for a low-pressure system to form along the central Gulf Coast tomorrow and lift toward the region. This would force areas of rain and thunder upon the local area, perhaps as early as late tonight. Most of Tuesday will feature overcast conditions with periods of showers and rain, which will be heavy at times. The strength of the low may cause some stronger storms to develop, with a low-end severe weather risk for Tuesday. Lows tonight will be warm in the upper 60s, and highs tomorrow suppressed in the mid 70s coast to low 80s inland. The system will actually help create a drastic change in the pattern that will promote drying and cooler temperatures for the last half of the week, which may stretch into the weekend.
