MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

Clouds will linger for most of the evening, even though the coverage of showers will be confined to coastal and some eastern counties through the nighttime period.  There is no expectation of additional severe weather tonight.  The front responsible for the latest round of unsettledness will slide to the southeast early Tuesday, allow gradual clearing of the sky and additional sunshine for most areas by afternoon or before.  We'll also see temperatures return to typical late-December levels with less moisture.  Lows tonight will remain mild in the 50s, with a few upper 40s possible in interior southwest Georgia.  Afternoon highs will reach the mid to upper 60s.  New Year's Eve and Day will be mostly clear to partly cloudy and seasonably cool, with clouds and rain threats returning by Friday.
