Storm Team Monday evening forecast (05/25/2015)

MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...

The pattern for the rest of the week will feature a west-to-east split between higher and lower rain chances.  Western sections will be heavily influenced by a wide-open southerly flow off the Gulf and better upper-level conditions to allow for numerous showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.  Eastern areas, however, will have to fight a series of high-pressure areas near the Florida peninsula and the western Atlantic.  These features will confine shower and storm chances to the afternoons and dependent on seabreeze flows.  Abundant moisture will keep lows in the low to mid 70s overnight as any showers and storms end by early in the morning.  Highs will be in the upper 80s west and coast, to lower 90s east.  Later this week, winds become more northeasterly and should limit the inflow of moisture and lessen the rain potential quite a bit.
