MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Only minor changes are ahead this week in the regional weather pattern, and most of those changes should occur somewhat unnoticed. The atmosphere remains quite dry, with series of high pressure systems keeping the situation rather settled. Only a few weak waves of upper-level activity will scrape the area overnight, and again of Friday, causing scattered cloudiness and basically no significant rain opportunities. Temperatures will be near seasonable levels, with mid 50s for lows and lower 80s for highs. To the north, a strong upper low over the northeastern U.S. will force a northerly wind over the area, sustaining cool and mostly clear conditions for the local area. To the south, a disturbance in the southwestern Gulf has a higher chance to develop into a tropical cyclone, but most indications show the system staying well south of the Big Bend.
