MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
A nearby boundary is promoting occasional passing showers and periodic thunderstorms, generally moving from west to east across the region, with slightly less coverage north of the state line. This disturbed boundary will linger through the next 24 hours at least, keeping slight rain chances in the forecast even during the overnight hours. A few storms may contain heavy downpours, but the overall severe weather threat is rather minimal. Low temperatures will be held up into the middle 70s in most areas, with some slightly cooler pockets possibly impacted by showers. Off-and-on sunshine will still permit daytime temps to rise into the 90s, peaking in the mid 90s for a few spots with roaming showers and thunder. A cold front to the north may sink more to the south and will attempt to reduce the shower activity later in the week. A few tropical lows in the distant Atlantic will be monitored, but otherwise pose no immediate threat.
