MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Scattered evening showers and few storms will impact generally near I-75 in south Georgia, and the Flint and Ochlockonee rivers surrounding the state line. Most activity has been moving north or northeast, and may contain short periods of downpours and lightning. However, there's a chance for an uptick in the amount of rain and storms Tuesday, especially in the afternoon and evening, as a cold front advances toward the area. With some support from upper-level winds and potential upper cooling, a few storms Tuesday may acquire hail and wind gust characteristics prior to the front's passing. The end of showers and storms will occur by midday Wednesday, with strong storm chances ending by early in the morning. Lows tonight, though, will fall to around 70°, and highs will still reach the mid 80s, with the highest readings in the Suwannee valley where the showers and storms may arrive later. It will become obviously cooler for the last half of the week, with sunshine and mild afternoons.
