MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
A generally cloudy trend has held afternoon temperatures in the 80s, but the impacts from rain and thunder have been less impressive. Areas of rain and embedded thunder in southern Georgia have a tendency to shift south through the evening, which may increase overall coverage for a time near the state line. Severe thunderstorms are not expected, but locally heavy rain is possible. The abundant moisture will keep nighttime temps elevated, mainly in the mid to low 70s. Scattered showers are possible for coastal and offshore waters before sunrise. Limited sunshine Tuesday mean below-average highs in the mid 80s are projected, with periods of showers, rain, and some thunder. The tropical moisture connection remains present in the Gulf region through most of the week, keeping a higher potential for rain in the local picture at least through Thursday.
