MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Strong winds are prompting the issuance of a Wind Advisory until the early evening hours, with gusts exceeding 30 mph in many areas. A cold front along with a swift upper flow has produced an area of showers and rain near the Flint River and points to the east, moving mainly to the east and creating extra clouds and light showers. The front is going to enhance the cold snap through Tuesday and beyond, aided by another frontal passage by early Wednesday. These systems will set up an ongoing stretch of colder-than-average conditions and morning freezes. However, the wind chill could dip into the 20s overnight as actual lows reach the mid 30s. Strong cold air flow will limit highs to the mid 40s interior to mid 50s south and southeastern areas. Widespread freezing temps are forecast for Wednesday and Thursday mornings, with a slight rebound in afternoon readings toward the end of the week.
