MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
Healthy rain totals of one to three inches have fallen on the region since Sunday, and there's still another 24 hours' worth of shower and rain activity to endure before a decent cold front swing into the region and eventually provides a drying trend. A stream of moisture and swift upper-level winds over the Apalachee Bay area will keep waves of showers and a few thunderstorms lifting to the northeast through the evening, creating spotty downpours and continued dampness. Late-night temps will fall slightly into the 60s. The cold front arrives Tuesday morning, but occasional showers are still likely as the front slows and a low-pressure center forms along the boundary. This low will likely track just to the east of the region, and be responsible for causing temperatures Tuesday to steadily fall into the 50s while maintaining a cloudy sky and periods of showers. A clearing trend will occur Wednesday morning, with colder readings in the 30s by Thanksgiving morning and highs limited to the 60s for most of the upcoming extended weekend.
