MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- From the Storm Team Weather Center ...
A series of severe weather concerns will impact the region this evening, with chances for damaging storm-related wind gusts and isolated cases of tornado development. A tornado watch covers many north Florida counties through the mid-evening hours. Heavy rain and lightning will also accompany many thunderstorms. A cold front will pass through the northern half of the area later tonight, helping to reduce overall storm coverage. However, scattered showers and a couple of stronger storms may still be possible in the early morning hours near coastal locations. Lows tonight will stay in the 60s, and, depending on the lack of cloud cover, some highs Tuesday may exceed the mid 80s while southern areas may barely reach 80° with chances for a few more showers. Wednesday, another disturbance will reach our area and renew some strong to severe storm risks before a return of cooler, breezy conditions by Thursday and through the rest of the week.
