TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - A frost advisory is in effect for the Suwannee River Valley til 9am this morning as temps fall near the freezing mark. Make sure you take in the sensitive plants if you have not done so already. After a cool start, temps quickly warm under mostly sunny skies and winds turning off the Atlantic coastline ushering in more moisture and a little more warmth. Expect highs in the upper 60s. High pressure slowly loses its grip and that transitions us into another storm system into the end of your weekend. Until then, Saturday will be pleasant for the college football games with temps in the low 70s after a mild start in the mid 40s. If you're heading to church Sunday morning, it could be kind of sloppy. A warm front lifts from the Gulf of Mexico bringing in widespread showers and a few embedded storms that have the potential to be severe. We are currently in a slight risk for severe storms on Sunday as the core of the low pressure system advances along the Gulf of Mexico. Upper 70s for Monday with the trailing cold front moving through bringing more isolated storms and scattered showers. There could even be some leftover moisture on Tuesday translating into a few showers, especially for our eastern counties, though it'll be noticeably cooler in the low to mid 60s for highs. The skies clear by midweek for the busiest travel day of the year with temps cooling down into the low 60s and by Turkey Day, it'll be cool with lows near freezing in the morning but quickly warming into the afternoon back into the mid 60s as high pressure builds in allowing for cool nights and warm daytime highs.
