MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- More moisture will work it's way into the local area for the weekend. This increase of moisture and a weak front to our north will allow for more numerous showers and storms for the weekend and the beginning of the next work week.
Friday: Friday starts off with a somewhat similar pattern to Thursday. The morning is featuring mainly clear skies with low temperatures in the lower to mid 70s. Afternoon highs can approach the lower to mid 90s.
Heat index values may approach the triple digits. Rain coverage will be somewhat elevated for western counties (50%). Even though eastern counties aren't expected to see nearly that much rain (30% coverage), know that isolated storms can still be somewhat intense. We'll have plenty of heating, moisture, and instability to allow for a threat of locally strong sea-breeze storms.
Beach and Boating information for Friday and your Tide Times are below:
Saturday into Tuesday: Rain chances are expected to climb due to the combination of elevated moisture from the Gulf of Mexico and elevated instability due to a weak front approaching our region from the north. Each morning will likely feature temperatures in the mid 70s with highs in the lower 90s. Rain coverage will approach 50% and may be higher for the end of the weekend.
Wednesday and Thursday: Scattered PM thunderstorms are possible. Morning lows will be mild with values in the lower to mid 70s. Afternoon highs will be around or slightly above average with numbers in the lower to mid 90s. Heat index values may approach the triple digits.
