We’ve got off and on clouds across the western part of the area this morning; they actually help to keep temperatures a bit warmer before sunrise. This afternoon we’ll work another cold front through but since we’re moisture starved, no rain will fall as it scoots by. The most we see out of it will be additional cloudiness through midday and another shot of cold air. Lows tonight will fall into the upper 20s and low 30s; a freeze warning will go into effect tonight for everyone away from beaches. A trusted weather spotter in Midtown told me he did not have one night in January at or below freezing at his house. That was the first time in his 10 years of keeping records, that streak is about to be snapped. It doesn’t matter what Phil or General Lee say on Groundhog Day, we will have cold starts this weekend but they’ll be paired with pretty decent finishes. Highs will be in the low and mid 60s through Tuesday. Rain still appears limited in the long term with only a couple showers by Tuesday.
Be safe and have a great Friday!
