An area of low pressure in the Gulf of Mexico will bring an increased chance for rain this afternoon... about a 50% chance. The greatest chance for rain will in the southern portions of the viewing area.
Extra cloud cover and showers today will most likely keep temperatures this afternoon in the upper 80s. Most storms will end around sunset but we might see a lingering shower or two around midnight.
The rain chance stays around 50% for the weekend and then lightens up by the start of the next work week!
