Storm Team Friday morning forecast (12/26/2014)

MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- Chilly start for this Friday as high pressure's influence helps to keep the cold air coming in from the north. Things will quickly change as that high pushes to the east and causes winds to shift to the east which will increase warmth and moisture in the short term. We'll see highs reach the lower to mid 60s today. Lows tonight dip into the upper 40s. Rain coverage starts low this Saturday (<20%) but grows to 40% coverage on Monday as we see a new disturbance from the west develop and enhance a more southerly flow from the Gulf. The rain coverage will last for a while as this newest disturbance will take its sweet time to cross the southeastern U.S. Expect our afternoon highs for next week to be well above average reaching the mid 70s on Monday and Tuesday. It'll feel more like Fall as we end 2014 with a much more spotty rain coverage (<20%) around New Years Eve.
