TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - After some sparse showers Thursday evening, we transition back into cooler weather. As the winds shift from the north, they'll blow at a pretty good clip, with gusts up to 30 mph this morning. The breeze will slack off into the afternoon, but don't expect much from the temps, they'll only rise into the mid and upper 60s for the FSU Homecoming Parade. This evening, the high pressure settles in which allows for calmer conditions, but also colder conditions. Temps plummeting by Saturday morning into the upper 30s. With plenty of sunshine throughout the day, temps will quickly warm into the upper 60s for football festivities. Clouds will build in late in the day, and a few isolated showers are possible for coastal areas and the Suwannee River Valley overnight. The added moisture will moderate temps into Sunday morning and if you're heading to church, temps will be in the mid 40s. We're back to near 70° in the afternoon as skies clear up. Next week starts cool in the mid to upper 30s Monday morning, but in the afternoon we'll quickly climb into the mid 70s. Veterans Day looks glorious with temps climbing into the upper 70s in the afternoon, making it perfect for any events going on that day.
