MIDWAY, Fla. (WTXL) -- Happy Friday! Expect another hot and humid day to end the work week before moisture returns just in time for the weekend. The reason for the return is due to two main weather systems. A trough of low pressure helping to push a cold front closer to us from the Mississippi River Valley will help to pull in more humid air from the Gulf. Not only that, but the tropical disturbance drenching southern Florida will move into the Gulf of Mexico and help to influence rain coverage even more. From Saturday-Wednesday, expect coverage anywhere from 50-60%. While this may discourage some to go outside, it doesn't mean we wont see sunshine. Expect the majority of the action to occur in the afternoon when daytime heating will help to grow the storms with more frequency. This doesn't mean we cant see a few early showers, but the main action will occur after noon. Highs will be in the lower 90s through the weekend and after the frontal passage, highs will still be warm, but upper 80s look to be more consistent. Lows through next Friday will be in the mid 70s in isolated spots but mainly lower 70s are expected.
