Happy March and remember today’s date is a palindrome, the same forwards and backwards. 3-1-13, you’ll be the coolest one in the office for knowing that! It’s also the first day of meteorological spring, but that doesn’t mean we’re getting any warmer anytime soon. Highs this afternoon with filtered sun and no rain won’t get out of the 50s. Tonight, we’ll work a disturbance through with only a couple showers squeezed out; lows tomorrow morning will be in the mid 30s.Currently we’ve got a continuous flow of cold air coming from the northwest, that leaves us winter-like for the first weekend of March. Saturday afternoon will be on the chilly, raw and breezy side with highs close to 53°. We clear out and temperatures really fall by Sunday morning, we’ll be in the upper 20s. Freezes are likely Sunday morning and Monday morning, take in the plants; meanwhile highs won’t get out of the 50s through the weekend. Our next chance for rain comes with another area of low pressure blasting through Tuesday and Wednesday but at this point, it doesn’t look to be heavy.
Be safe and have a great weekend!
