Storm Team Friday Morning Forecast (10/4/13)

Posted

As high pressure leaves us, we will still squeeze out one more pretty nice day. Highs are expected to be above average again nearing 90 degrees. We will have partly sunny skies for the afternoon and partly cloudy as we head into the evening. Rain chances pick up as we look towards Saturday afternoon and evening. As tropical storm Karen tracks towards the LA coast, a trough will help shift it back eastward. Heavier showers will arrive here late Saturday night and early Sunday morning. We may also have some thunderstorms and gusty winds. Highs this weekend will be in the mid to upper 80’s. After the front moves through on Sunday/Monday, it will set the tone for a much cooler period. By Monday highs will return to average and skies will clear to partly sunny in the afternoon. Tuesday looks nice, partly sunny with a high of 85. Wednesday and Thursday will start off on the cool side with morning lows around 60, but we will have plenty of sunshine both days, allowing us to reach highs in the low to mid 80’s.
