Tropical storm Andrea has cleared the Big Bend region and will continue up the east coast of the country. Local morning temperatures range from the upper 60s to the lower 70s. Conditions will return to a more summer-like pattern today, with highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s and a 50% chance of seeing some hit-or-miss showers. A very slow moving cold front is pushing east, now affecting the Panhandle. The rain associated with it is not expected to be a washout, but the front and the moisture from the sea breeze will make it a little easier to receive some rain today and tomorrow. Afternoon temperatures will slowly increase over the next seven days, and our rain chances will go from 50% on Saturday, down to 20% by Tuesday. Even though the rain chance will lower, there is always a chance of seeing some afternoon showers, as the sea breeze brings in some moisture from the Gulf of Mexico. Overnight lows will be in the lower 70s each day, with a quick warmup after the sun rises, so don't forget the sunscreen and water when you're out this weekend!
