Skies will be mostly cloudy today with a few passing showers. Rain chances and temps will go up as we head into the weekend. We’re continuing to track the low forming near northern Mexico and southwestern Texas. As of now we could see some heavy rain here Saturday afternoon through the evening and into Sunday morning with rain totals nearing 1”-1.5” inches. We also may have the chance to see a few thunderstorms Saturday night and Sunday morning. By Sunday afternoon we should begin to clear out as highs near 67 degrees. High pressure will build and move in on Monday, with a secondary dry cold front reinforcing some cooler air. High temps on Monday will be in the low 60’s and heading into Monday night we could drop into the 30’s once again.  New Years Eve is looking dry, sunny, and mild with a high of 61 degrees. Heading into the evening hours you may want to wear a jacket if you will be outside, lows will drop to the mid 30’s. New Years Day looks mostly sunny with a high of 62. Rain comes back in the forecast on Thursday, with highs in the mid 60’s.

Happy Friday! Have a great weekend!
