ATTENTION: Frost Advisory and Freeze Warning in effect for parts of our local area. Both until 9:00am ET. Details below:

MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- The late Winter freezes ends after today (at least for the foreseeable future). Temperatures will soar back to near the 80s by the weekend, just in time for Spring!

Friday: The day starts off chilly, with temperatures expected to be in the lower to upper 30s, with colder conditions east. The warmth re-surges into the area this afternoon, with forecast highs expected to reach 70°.

This warmer change is due to high pressure moving east of our area, guiding warmer winds from the southeast. Aside from a few clouds, expect mainly sunny skies.

Beach and Boating forecast information for Friday is below:

Tide Times for Friday are below:

Saturday: Morning lows will start off in the 40s. This is cool, but not as oppressive as the freezing conditions from the work week. Highs are forecast to bounce to the mid 70s as warmer south winds continue to pull in more Spring-like conditions. Skies will be partly cloudy.

Late Saturday into Sunday, showers are possible with a weak cold front passing by. The front is not expected to bring much in terms of rain, with less than 20% coverage anticipated.

Sunday:  Lows will be mild, with temperatures near 50°. Cooler north winds will occur due to the weak front. Highs are not expected to pass 75° on Sunday, with mainly clear skies.

Monday: The start of Spring will feel like Spring! Mid 40s are expected, to start the morning. This is just below the seasonal average. Highs are forecast to sharply jump to the upper 70s in the afternoon.

Tuesday through Thursday: More of the Spring warmth stays around, with lows forecast to be in the lower to mid 50s. Highs will be near or possibly above 80°.
