We have a very warm day ahead of us. High temps this afternoon will range in the mid-upper 90’s, with heat indices nearing 100 degrees. Ridging continues around our region with high pressure set up in the Northern Gulf of Mexico. Scattered showers are still possible, and even an isolated thunderstorm for today and through the weekend. Rain chances will stay around 20%. The heat is the biggest factor as we head into the weekend. High temps are expected to hit 98 degrees on Saturday and 97 on Sunday, so find a way to stay cool! On Sunday high pressure will move away and begin to break down, allowing shower activity to pick up to 30-40% for Monday through Thursday. High temps next week will still be in the mid to upper 90’s.
Have a great weekend!
