MIDWAY, Fl. (WTXL) -- A typical Summer-time rain pattern will be the story for the end of the work week with another elevated threat for afternoon showers and thunderstorms. The weekend features more of the same, with isolated to scattered PM storms. For the next work week, an approaching front and another surge of moisture and heat will allow for even more rain chances next week.

Friday: The end of the work week features a warm and humid pattern with morning lows in the lower to mid 70s. For the afternoon, southwest winds will quickly warm us up and add even more moisture to the picture. Expect highs in the lower 90s, with heat index values near 100° possible!

As the sea breeze kicks in, a nearby disturbance and the abundance of moisture and heat will allow for a large opportunity for PM showers/storms (rain coverage at around 60%). Rain chances will be highest away from the coast.

Your Beach and Boating forecast information and your Tide Times are below:

Saturday and Sunday: Isolated to scattered storms will be possible, but coverage will not be as high as Friday. This is due to the nearby disturbance exiting our area, reducing instability. Still, with heat and moisture, 30-40% coverage is expected. Forecast morning temperatures are in the lower to mid 70s, with forecast highs in the lower 90s.

Monday through Thursday: A hot and humid pattern will continue with another surge of moisture expected. Each day, morning low temperatures are expected to be in the lower to mid 70s. Afternoon highs are forecast to jump to the lower to mid 90s (with heat index values approaching the upper 90s to near 100°). Rain coverage so far looks to be around 50%.
