TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - The trend is drier and hotter heading into the weekend. A few scattered storms are likely today, however there will be a lot less coverage than in previous days. We'll see enough sunshine on and off to boost afternoon temps into the low 90s for the first time since Monday. The storm threat becomes much more isolated in nature for the weekend and temps will continue to climb as a stabilizing high pressure system builds towards the Atlantic shoreline. Expect temps to climb into the mid to even some upper 90s while overnight lows stay uncomfortably warm in the low to mid 70s. By next week, our upper level ridge that'll keep us quiet this weekend will begin to weaken and a few summery afternoon storms come back into the picture mainly Tuesday and beyond.
