Happy Friday everyone, it is time to put the umbrellas back in the car! Scattered showers make their way back into the forecast as a weak cold front is draped across the region.
This afternoon there is a 30% chance to see a scattered shower especially in areas closer to the frontal boundary. Temperatures in eastern areas, ahead of the front will be slightly warmer in the lower to mid 80s. Areas closer to the boundary and westward could top out in the upper 70s due to extra cloud cover and scattered showers throughout the day.
Tonight there is still a chance to see an isolated shower, otherwise it will be slightly muggy with mostly cloudy skies. Lows remain above average in the mid 60s.
Scattered showers remain in the forecast for the weekend as the cold front will stall out right across the WTXL viewing area. Early next week a much stronger cold front will roll through the region. By next Wednesday it looks like drier and much more "Fall-like" , something to look forward to!
