Storm Team Friday morning forecast (09/26/2014)

Posted

TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - The sunshine will return later on your Friday! That will boost those temps back into the low 80s for highs, but still falling a few degrees below average after starting the morning out in the mid 60s.  Thursday's 73° high officially at Tallahassee Regional Airport was the coolest day in nearly 5 months! I don't expect highs to be that cool anymore, in fact summer is going to return as we head into the weekend. Winds shift from the First Coast allowing more moisture and some more heat to return, expect rainfall threats to return late tonight into Saturday especially for our eastern counties.  An upper level disturbance will then advance from the Gulf allowing for higher rain chances for Sunday and Monday. Temps will tick upward back into the upper 80s and it'll be quite muggy. We'll also feel more heat overnight with temps only bottoming out in the low 70s starting tonight and into the rest of the weekend. The rain will clear out on Tuesday, but we'll still be tapping into Gulf moisture and warmer temps, so expect upper 80s to maintain themselves through the end of next work week.
