Storm Team Friday morning forecast (3/15/2013)

Posted

We started frosty on this Friday with lows falling into the 30s but we’re warming up! A ridge of high pressure is centered right over us leading to a calm wind, sunny skies and a solid dose of heating. Highs today will push into the low 70s away from the coast; beaches will top out in the mid 60s. The ridge will quickly move south and southeast today setting us up for a rapid warm up this weekend. A west/southwest wind will help highs get into the mid and upper 70s Saturday and St. Patrick ’s Day Sunday while staying extra sunny. A slow moving front sparks a few showers and thunderstorms Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning; that’s our next best chance at rain. The front will move away by Wednesday leaving us mild and dry through midweek.

Be safe and have a great Friday!
