Light showers moving northward off the Gulf of Mexico this morning will taper off by noon, with some partial clearing possible this afternoon. Southerly flow will allow highs this afternoon to warm to the low to mid 70s across most of north Florida and south Georgia. Showers will increase once again overnight tonight as a cold front approaches the area, with heavier rain and thunderstorms likely on Saturday. Widespread severe storms are unlikely, but a few of the storms could contain gusty winds. Sunday will feature sunny skies and continued warmth before another front brings in a few showers on Monday. The rest of the week will remain mostly sunny as a high pressure system builds over the southeast. Temperatures will cool throughout the week, with lows approaching the freezing mark by the end of next week.
