TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) - Breezy and cooler today with temps only getting to around 60° for afternoon highs so bust out the ugly Christmas sweaters because it's starting to feel like the holiday season! Overnight, freeze watches are in effect for our north and western communities from Tallahassee to Thomasville and back towards the Tri-State region. Temps will dip to the low to mid 30s, so bring in the pets and sensitive plants because widespread frost is expected, especially for rural areas. Temps stay in the 60s for highs this weekend before high pressure pushes eastward allowing for an onshore flow heading into Christmas week. Temps will be in the low to mid 70s through Tuesday and then upper 70s as we near Christmas Eve. A storm system approaches, bringing widespread rain and storminess Tuesday and Wednesday before clearing up late on Christmas Eve. Christmas Day looks hot nearing 80° for a high and we should be generally clearer as well.
