Intense heavy rainfall will continue throughout the entire day. We still have a flood watch in effect for our entire area till 2 am Saturday morning. Most areas will see 2-5” of rain with isolated areas collecting up to 6”. Minor flooding is possible around the rivers across the county wide area. There is also the potential for some roads to be covered in water. Remember, “turn around don’t drown,” it only takes 6 inches of water to move a vehicle. Rain will stay with us into the evening and even through Saturday morning as the low exits the area to the east. We may also see some damaging wind gusts with a few thunderstorms throughout the afternoon. As we head into Saturday afternoon we should finally see things clear out and cool down, high temps will only reach 73 degrees. Easter Sunday, is still holding out and looking nice with a high of 77. Monday looks mostly sunny with a high of 81. Showers and thunderstorms will return briefly on Tuesday and clear out by Wednesday. Thursday looks calm, partly sunny and warm with a high temp of 86.
Stay dry and safe! Have a great weekend.
