Storm Team Friday Morning Forecast (11/15/13)

Posted

A shortwave trough moving through the southern plains will continue to push east today, which in turn will bring us some widespread showers in the afternoon and mild temperatures. For today, keep the umbrella handy, the heaviest of the showers will be in the afternoon as we warm to 68 degrees, and then they should tapper off into the evening hours. Saturday looks partly sunny, with less than a 20% chance for showers and a high of 74.  Heading into Sunday, expect above average temps with a high of 80 degrees. Skies will be partly cloudy and the western counties could see a few light showers.  A cold front will move through during the day on Monday, bringing us more rain and the slight chance for some thunderstorms. Fall like weather will return on Tuesday after the front passes our area.  Skies should clear to partly sunny Tuesday afternoon and we reach a high of 70. Wednesday will be mostly sunny and nice, but a bit cool with highs only reaching 66 degrees. Partly sunny skies will hang around on Thursday with a slight chance for a shower.

Have a fantastic weekend!
